Cosmic Artifact is excited to present monthly workshops at Easey Art Space ~ !
Come and learn the art of wax working for jewellery to create your own piece in solid silver or gold ~ !
Amongst the brushstrokes and eloquent greenery, we invite you to design and sculpt a celestial piece for yourself or someone x-tra special ~ with the option to create a ring, pendant, or dazzling charm/s.
Classes are small and personal, with 4 to 6 participants per session, running for a casual three hours. No prior jewellery making skills/experiences are necessary, and all cosmic beings are welcome.
What's Included
~ An array of wax mediums for experimenting and forming your design
~ A selection of natural and lab gems to use
~ A personal tool kit for the session, alongside aprons and any safety gear
~ The cost of casting and weight of silver
~ A beautiful handmade booklet detailing the process, tools, casting info, and suppliers
~ A lush array of snacks and treats will also be provided, with teas and coffees available at the neighbouring cafe
Finished wax models will then be sent to our local casting house for lost-wax casting. In short, this is a process whereby the wax model melts and the precious metal takes its place in a temporary mould scenario.
Your piece will then be hand-polished, and ready for pick-up three weeks later :)) Your finished piece will be a solid ring, pendant, or charms in your choice of silver or gold.
Workshops are $295 per person all inclusive, running from 10am-1pm on the first Saturday of each month at Easey Art Space ~ 21 Easey Street, Collingwood (Naarm//Melbourne).
* An additional amount will be calculated for pieces in gold, based on their final weight on the day.
Custom sessions for specialty workshops such as wedding rings are also available, alongside gift certificates for those gifts that keep on giving :))
Follow the booking button above to select your date in style, or be in touch below for all questions, enquiries, and quotes on special sessions.
