Saturday 19 July

Wild Rose Pictures presents an introduction into DIY processing for black and white film, offering alternative eco-friendly developers ~ !

During the workshop, guests are invited to shoot a selection of 35mm stills and Super 8 film, which will be followed by a hand-developing session in the darkroom at All the very best.

The session will showcase an effortless DIY set-up and process for developing your own black and white film at home or on~the~go, with no more than a few buckets, some household ingredients, and a dark space.

The day will run from 11am to 5pm and will include:

★ 1 hour introduction to film developing

★ 1 hour of mixing chemicals

★ 1 hour local photo shooting excursion

★ 30 minute lunch break

★ 2.5 hours developing, drying, and scanning of select images

At the conclusion of the workshop you will have shot and developed your own roll of film, and gained the knowledge to develop and scan in black and white for stills and Super 8. After the session, your negatives will then be scanned in high resolution by Wild Rose Pictures, ready for pick-up or sent to you 3 weeks later, together with a link to your scans.

Come and join for a unique experience with like-minded film fiends ~ !

All supplies will be provided ~ including film stock, cameras, developing chemicals, and any safety gear. Guests are more than welcome to bring their own camera if they desire.

An array of complimentary snacks will be a delightful treat on the day :)
